On Tuesday 10 February 2026 at 19:30 CET Joël Schols will give a lecture on Intelligent investing through valuation
What to expect
It was the late Charlie Munger who coined the famous phrase, “All intelligent investing is value investing.” And he was absolutely right.
He makes it clear that you should never pay more than something is worth. And to figure out what an asset is worth, you simply apply some form of valuation technique.
In this presentation, we’re going to dive into the different sub-styles within value investing. We’ll give you concrete examples and practical tools for investors, so whether you’re a beginner or an experienced investor, there will be something here for you.
We’ll focus on the sub-style of quality investing and the DCF valuation method, which Luc Kroeze explains brilliantly in his latest book, ‘Niet alles wat blinkt is goud’ (Not everything that glitters is gold). Following ‘De kaviaarformule’ (The Caviar Formula) and ‘Het beleggersbrein’ (The Investor’s Brain), Luc has penned a trilogy that is an absolute must-have for any bookshelf. You’ll be able to purchase Luc’s book right here at the event.
The event is in Dutch.
